The Reich in Photos – “The Day of German Art” Festival, Munich, 14-16 July 1939

“The Day of German Art” (Tag der deutschen Kunst) was a parade held in Munich under the National Socialists, which first corresponded with the laying of the cornerstone for the House of German Art (Haus der Deutschen Kunst) on October 15, 1933. The parade took place again in 1937 when the building was finished and was to be held annually from then on out, but the last year for the festivities was in 1939 due to the onset of the war.
